X-Tech Medical is in the process of upgrading the company’s SAP ERP IT system and adding a fully integrated advanced planning and scheduling module to manage production. The additional investment will help better manage production of complete medical devices, sub-assemblies and components in a plastics processing manufacturing environment. The system supports medical regulatory compliance with its quality control functions, including supplier management, and provides full medical device traceability from production through to sale. The software will also aid the company with other compliance requirements of the Medical Device Regulations (MDR). The system utilises bar-code scanning to track productions orders and stock management. The EPR and MRP software and the cloud-based platform will enable full scalability as the business expands. The company is also replacing and adding hardware, including tablets, laptops, PCs, and bar-code scanners. The company is growing at a fast pace and the investment will enable it to continue to provide high customer satisfaction and maintain the high scores being achieved. The IT solution is fully end to end and includes finance, customer relationship management, sales and purchase order processing, and inventory control. The system should be fully operational by 1st September.
